Home Turf Glory: UVic Vikes Sweep Canada West Championships

The UVic Vikes men’s and women’s cross country teams made history on home soil, capturing the Canada West Championships for the first time since 1998. The double victory came in front of a proud hometown crowd at Cedar Hill, marking a defining moment for both programs.

“It was an incredible day for both teams,” said Head Coach Hilary Stellingwerff. “They have been working toward this goal for several years and to finally achieve it on home turf, surrounded by the people who support them, made it even more special.”

RunSport Victoria Society, long-time partners of the UVic Vikes Cross Country and Track programs, are proud to celebrate this milestone and the dedication it represents.
