How We Did It
We implemented a full-scale zero waste strategy including:
10+ Waste Diversion Stations across the course and venue
Green Team Volunteers trained to help sort and guide participants
Onsite Composting & Recycling, with clear signage and stream separation
Recovery of Difficult Materials like flexible plastic, foam, electronics
Water Refill Stations to eliminate plastic bottle waste
Vendor Collaboration to reduce packaging at the finish line

As our Sustainability and Green Teams Coordinator, Claire led the planning and onsite execution of our zero-waste initiative. From organizing bins and signage to leading volunteer efforts, her leadership made the 98.8% diversion possible.
